Holiday ideas for me and dc?

I know there's a lone parents board but there doesn't seem to be all that much traffic, and I'm sure there are some non-lone parents who could give me ideas too!

I'm thinking of taking my 2-year old on holiday in the next few months, just the two of us. Things have been very difficult since the summer and we could do with a break. So I'd like to go away and do something nice. Either snowy or some winter sun. Money's not tight and we can go outside school holidays so budget's not really an issue. But I'm worried that 2 is too young for kids clubs, I'd be bored and lonely in the evenings, dc would be generally bored...does anyone have any ideas for a kick-ass holiday for a single mum and a little one? I will take literally any ideas. Except ones that involve flying more than about 5 hours, 2 is too young for me to deal with that alone 😂.

There are a few single parent focussed group tour operators. I've never been on a group tour and tbh have always thought they sound horrendous but actually it might be nice to be with other LPs. Anyone have any experience with them?

Thanks in advance!

No idea re destination, but renting a house is easier than hotel with dc needing to go to bed early, plus safe access to an enclosed outdoor space that’s just yours helps.

Do you want abroad or uk?

We went to forest holidays in the Forest of Dean and it was a lovely break. Stayed in a cabin with a hot tub, lots of walks in the woods, hired a bike, and they have a forest ranger who did little sessions like den building and bug catching, and he brought his pet owl along too. Was a lot of fun.

Acorn holidays do single parent holidays - would highly recommend !

Insotel Cala Mandia resort in Majorca has a massive amount on offer for young children and toddlers www.insotelhotelgroup.com/en/hotels/mallorca/insotel-cala-mandia-resort-spa/families and large spacious suites and apartments so you won’t have to be in the same bedroom.
