Attitudes and Myths re: homeless , whats true? what isnt?

Obviously homelessness is a massive problem only getting worse, there's been a lot near our shops recently which is unusual in such a rural area, shows how bad its getting Whats surprised and saddened me is the flurry of panicked posts on the Facebook community group . The assumption that they often arent homeless at all, they have places to go, they Park they're cars round the corner . it seems so lacking in compassion. But i have noticed they aren't they're for very long periods of time or at night, so what is the truth???

There are ‘professional’ beggars

There are those in insecure accommodation or shelters where they have a bed but nowhere during the day

There are those rough sleepers with totallly nowhere to go.

I've always thought the kicking them out inthe day was cruel.and stupid, if they are drug users ,boredom amd desperation.sets in,.plus it's minus something here

if i see them sat there today I may give them something like a sandwich.

Homeless people are as unique as the rest of us, their circumstances and reasons for being there will very.

The same with whether they are genuine or not, most people are, some are big nasty liars that give the rest a bad name.

On the drugs issue, I completely get it. What else can you do in such an unbearably bad situation, and how many of us turn to alcohol and medication to cope with a difficult situation?
