1st birthday gift ideas.

It's my DS2 1st birthday soon. My mil has asked for suggestions for something special she and fil can get him. They don't want to get him a toy or clothes as he already has loads from his older brother. They have always been very generous with DS1 gifts and like to get decent quality, special items. I'm completely lost for ideas though. They won't want to give money or vouchers.
Does anybody have any ideas?

Rocking horse?

Grin I like the champagne idea!

It depends on budget/ whether they'd see this as similar to a voucher, but something like a year's membership of National Trust might be quite useful if there are good places near you? My DD is 21 months and her godmother bought her membership, and we use it really often - it's great as they get to the stage when they want to go and run around somewhere new all the time! Plus quite nice for adults in a way going to the same boring play park sometimes isn't.

Oh sorry that’s a toy! Nice for him to have some toys new though I’d say...

Something for his bedroom wall like personalised bunting or a plaque? My parents got my ds a wooden train for his wall with his name in big letters on it. He loved it and it helped him learn to recognise his name!

These are great ideas. Especially the champagne!
The rocking horse is actually something she would love to get I think as she hinted at one for DS1.
I'm going to send all these in a list.
They have spent up to £100 with DS1 but I will send suggestions from a variety of price points to not look too grabby!
