Hello,

Yesterday I had an OPK stick come back with two lines, the second line was very faint. This morning I had the slimey discharge so I completed another one today at about 11am and after 15 mins both lines were very obvious. Then I peed on another stick about 3pm and I only have 1 line and a 2nd very very faint line showing. What does this mean?

It means you've just ovulated. When's DH home?

Muffinmac2019 · 21/01/2019 20:23

It's means you are about to ovulate.

Dh means darling husband.

Yeah sounds like you have ovulated. Tbh the problem with OPKs is that you really need to have had sex a day or 2 before the positive tests to have the best chance of conception.

A positive opk means you have reached your highest fertility window and should ovulate in the next 12-36 hours.
Are you ttc op?

Muffinmac2019 · 21/01/2019 21:02

But I did one this morning that came back positive then another in the afternoon and it was very faded would say it was negative tbh . I had the eggy discharge today . Yes trying to conceive

Hi yes we had been having sex the few days before . I just thought my ovulation would last longer tbh .

It detects the hormone surge that happens before ovulation. This surge just lasts 12 hours or so. The second faded one was because the hormones in your pee are less (end of the surge).

Okay thank you for explaining that Smile x
