So recently we got a kitten, sounds awful but to deter rodents and obv dc to have a pet. It has all worked out thankfully.

Back story - dp has never really liked animals and was adamant he would never have a pet unless a goldfish Confused
He helps with DC but not to the extent that I do.

We got the kitten, everything fine. He went out and bought food, litter, bowls, toys and took kitten to vet too.
He changes the litter ect but in 3 and half years he's probably changed 6nappies...
He gives the kitten food but its usually me who does the DC food and milk when they was on bottles.
He plays with the kitten for sometimes an hour (not talking) but with DC he is distant.
He has cleaned the kitten with pet wipes but has only 3 times bathed our DC and given D's a shower on 2 occasions.

Completely baffled me. He says things to me like "I'm going everything for the cat" he's not because when he's at work its me who Feeds him and scoops his poop. Confused he thinks I do nothing. I want him to do less with cat and more with DC. There's bobtrlling him though. He says he's tired after work

I'd rather change a hundred nappies than deal with a litter tray. And cat food stinks to high heaven.

Know when you're ahead.
