Was there one moment you knew, or a bunch of different things? Or things you'd ticked off after having baby 1?

Because I loved my first one so much

I had the usual constant questions of when are we having a second. And for about 2 years I'd laugh it off and say never, I'm happy with one. Then I just had a niggling feeling that id like a baby and that was that.

I didnt want to have too big an age gap between our children so that we could grow together as a family. I am close in age to my cousins and we grew up together. I have a cousin who is quite a bit younger and they always felt like they missed out on a lot because of the age ago.

As pp has said, I didnt want a big gap. 2 years between me and my sister so I wanted the same. Also took us 18m with ds so felt we needed to get cracking in case it took that long again. However we got married when ds was 14mo so didnt want to be pregnant for that so started trying the month we got married!
As it happened it only took 3 months to conceive dd so gap is 2 yrs and about 2 months.
