Am i going to get a fine

I've just dropped DD at Stansted airport. Dropped her in the free drop off in the mid stay carpark, all good except when i came out i went through the bus barrier.
All the others said pre-paid and credit card and i thought i don't want any of those.
The only thing that says bus only is when you get to the actual barrier and there's a little sign on the post saying buses only, but then the barrier opened and i went through. I probably shouldn't have but now I'm wondering if i will be fined? 😩

No you won't be fined. You'll be placed on the Interpol "most wanted" list and your car registration will be circulated to all police forces. Your bank accounts will be frozen and MI5 will be on the hunt.

Did you not get a ticket upon entry? I've not been to Stansted, but it's normal to get a ticket and then put that in the machine on the way out. If you use the bus lane and there is a camera you may well get a penalty notice. Hopefully you've still got the ticket so you can appeal if anything does come through, as that will prove you were there for less than an hour.

Oh yes, I've got the ticket still but all the lanes look the same, no difference in bus lane approach, until you get to the actual barrier. Then there's just this notice that tells you it's for buses. But the barrier opened anyway.

I think they register your number plate going in and going out.

If i have to pay a fine i will, it's my own stupid fault, i just wondered if anyone knew whether i would
