Help is anyone up

My three year old just vomited after being awake and unsettled.

DP and I get married on Saturday.

I could cry right now. We are all going to get it aren't we. I was sitting right next to him when he puked.

You might not. Highest rate of transmission is by ingestion (basically not washing hands properly, after touching something contaminated). So be incredibly careful with cleanup and hand hygiene and the rest of you might be okay...and your 3 year old is liable to be over it by then.

Oh, and for god's sake clean the phone I suspect you're posting on. People always forget to clean the phone!

Not necessarily, make sure your hand hygiene is scrupulous, keep you hands away from your face as much as possible. My son caught norovirus, he suddenly started vomiting right next to me in the car but I escaped it. In fact, I don't remember ever catching a vomiting bug from the kids when they were small. I hope you manage to escape it Flowers.

I'm completely freaking out. I caught the lot of it in a towel which immediately got bunged into the washing machine at 60, stripped and washed ds and bedding, washed both our hands. But he's been crawling over me and slobbering and kissing me all day. Just why Envy

Stock up on pink gloop? Wash everything and if it's a 48 hour bug you should get over it by Saturday

Most of the bugs babies get because of immature immunity, you are unlikely to catch, or very unlucky, but I doubt it would have same impact on you anyway. It always amazed me how i rarely go down with anything the dcs bring into the house, certainly never a sickness one.

Even if I escape it there's no way DP will, he gets every tummy bug it is possible to get.

Ds never gets bugs that badly anyway. It's usually one puke then right as rain. Then a few days later dp and I get it ten times worse.

It's really very difficilt to catch bacterial vomiting infections from someone, but yes, viral is much easier.

But, viral infections such as noro tens to be fast acting and burn out fast if you are otherwise fit and healthy. If it is noro, and if you catch it, it will most likely be gone by Friday. I really hope it isn't an infection though, good luck for saturday!

Well I have anti bac'd everything to within an inch of its life. I don't think there's anything more I can do.

There are anti-emetic medication and anti- poop medications, all is not lost. Stock up just incase. Stematil, Maxilon , Immodium etc. That'll stop DP projecting from both ends and you too. There are child meds as well to plug things up.
Re hydration salts for the 3 year old, no food other than dry toast and sanitise absolutely everything.

Have put all of ds's cutlery, cups, bowls etc in sterilising solution. Too much?!

Sorry, I'm.from the camp of get it all out! DC are pretty good at knowing when they want to eat and drink around bugs.

I might 'stopper' myself after a certain point because I know how I feel, but I wouldnt a DC, not sure gps would advise this either.

Anti bac is no use for noro unless it's bleach.

Make sure you do door handles, light switches and toilet flushes regularly. Don't stop doing it.

I’m also up as my daughters been sick twice this evening. However she’s had this before and the rest of us have never got anything from it

Oh god I don't own bleach. The smell gives me severe migraines. I've only got dettol and method anti bac

I don't think it can be noro.hes only puked once and his poo is normal.

if hes going to get it get your dp to kiss her and eat her tissues!then itl be over before the weekend.stupid advice I know :) but better now than in a few days time.
