DSs ear buds went through the washing machine.

Should I replace them as I collected his dirty washing from his floor rather than wait for him to ( eventually) bring it down to the machine? I also did not check the pockets as I was in a hurry.
He contributed by not bringing his school clothes down earlier but I suppose, technically it was me that did the deed so I should buy him replacements?
What do you think?
He managed to keep reasonably cool ( he's 13) so I feel I should reward him.

Go halfers?

afromom · 20/01/2019 23:39

Do you mean headphones? Are you sure they don't work? DSs have been through the wash loads of times and still work fine (iPhone ones).

IncyWincyGrownUp · 20/01/2019 23:41

Bluetooth ones? Ouch. Dry them out fist, see if they’re salvageable.

VeganCow · 20/01/2019 23:42

I’ve also washed them loads of times and they work

flissfloss65 · 20/01/2019 23:43

This happened to us twice. Apple earphones still working fine. Just dry them out in an airing cupboard.

Excited101 · 20/01/2019 23:44

Mine have been through before too

Hwory · 20/01/2019 23:47

Yes you should replace them if there broken.

wigglybeezer · 20/01/2019 23:49

I'll see if they work when dried out.

Identical thread not so long ago.

The outcome was 50/50

If they are Apple EarPods they will probably be fine. I have washed loads of pairs.

Not Apple no, we're too stingy to buy iPhones, well DH used to, he's still clinging on to his iPhone 4!.
