Enchanted Forest Party!

Hi everyone
I would like some input for ideas.
My DP and I bonded over going to these certain events which were enchanted forest themed ‘rave/dance’ events.

I would love to do this theme for his birthday party obviously for adults and would like some input on some ideas for decor food and drinks. It will be in our home. I’m thinking lots of greenery, flowers and mushroom stools so far. And glitter! Trust me he’ll appreciate the Theme

Thank you everyone :)

Twiglets?

Could you hire/borrow a projector and stick an actual forest on a wall?! Otherwise can you get removable decals? They often do them for rented properties.
Or when I worked for an events company we’d often line rooms with ‘trees’ which were branches held in pots with heavy stones. We sometimes sprayed them with metallic spray and added butterflies/birds etc depending on the theme.

Food and drinks wise I’d have some themed cocktails (maybe in pitchers) and then not worry too much just make the rest tasty! You could serve lots on wood platters... some fallen leaves on tables (again could spray some of them)

LOL at twiglets!!! You def need those!

MothertotheLordsofmisrule · 20/01/2019 21:25

Make your own mushroom seats

LellowYorry · 20/01/2019 21:25

Marshmallow on top of a hula hoop gives you mushrooms.

TheFatberg · 20/01/2019 21:27

Have you looked on Pinterest? I've just put enchanted forest party into there and there are some cool jars done up to look like fairies are in them.

TheFatberg · 20/01/2019 21:29

And someone has done the Twiglet idea!

sagethyme · 20/01/2019 21:39

What time of year for the party op? indoor or outdoor?
Do you have a porch? Could you cover it in pine tree branches?
What about the Greenman?
Food wise hard boiled eggs with top and bottoms cut off, stick half tomato on the top of the egg and speckle with dots of mayo.
Make a tree platter with cocktail sausages as the trunk then single line of cocktail sausages as branches and use shredded lettuce as the leaves. Maybe fancy dress themed?

FlyingMonkeys · 20/01/2019 21:58

Were you off your tits back in the day at the raves? If so I've a feeling sprayed twigs and sausages on sticks may not come across with the vibe you want to reproduce.

MitziK · 20/01/2019 23:11

Get blacklight/uv bulbs for the obligatory face/body paints and weird paper flowers.

FlibbertyGiblets · 20/01/2019 23:20

Please no glitter. Awful stuff, environmentally.

Paper flowers can look gorgeous.

Wooden food platters is a great idea, rustical. Recipes online for making waybread. (triangular scones)

What will you wear?

lonesomeonbauble · 21/01/2019 02:17

@FlyingMonkeys Grin yes!
Definitely after a throwback party vibe except there won’t be anyone chewing up their own face thank god

Anyone jknow ghow to make moonpops?

Smotheroffive · 21/01/2019 02:39

I think you need to backlight your outside wall of your house (projecting forest and large tree on it), and call for ladders to be thrown down for guests to climb, lots of strings of fairy lights and toadstool ring in garden.

Cover carpets in fake grass roll, and sprinkle leaves. Branches in pots and hanging lanterns. Replace light bulbs with low light green bulbs. Recipe for moonpops anyone...lots of odd trays of food, def. the mushrooms with egg and tom, and the weybread, ....
