If you have a log burner what colour is the wall?

Just about to decorate new living room. It has a log burner and a oak looking fireplace. I've no idea what colour to do - want something which works with the dark stove and surround, and our dark grey sofa.

I have double denim by dulux on the main wall. Black woodburner, original brick chamber and oak beam. Have lighter grey on the other three walls and dark grey couch.

Ooh double denim is on my potential list for living room! Any chance of a pic?!?!?(sorry to crash the thread!)

Oh I will look at that. We've just done Dulux Sapphire Salute in another room and that went up a dream.

The log burner is in a large inglenook so that is brick coloured!

The walls of the living room and vaguely magnolia, just with a fancier name.

Ours is on a vivid purple wall but the whole living room is different shades of purple to be fair.

We have a burning log with black matte tiles around and the wall is light grey

Egyptian Sand. Although it pre-dates the log burner and marble fireplace we put in, so a stronger shade might work better against the marble. We got the piddly hole in the wall bowl thing knocked out.

Whole room (including alcove behind log burner) is pale dove grey, laura Ashley. I guess it’s very neutral but we add colour through soft furnishings.

Also Egyptian Sand!
