Feel shivery sore throat achung, took paracetomol 2 hours ago but feel dreadful. Got neurofen melts can I take one now

You can take paracetamol and ibuprofen at the same time, even. Just make sure you don’t exceed the maximum dose for either in 24hrs. Note it down, because it can be hard to keep track.

Yes you can. To alternate paracetamol and nurofen is an effective analgesic.

but take a note of what you have taken and when.
usually you can have 2x500mg paracetamol 4x and 2x200mg ibuprofen 3x in 24 hours.

Yes... it's good pain control to alternate them as they work differently.

The big no no is taking paracetamol and then something like Lemsip or beechams flu meds became they also ha ve paracetamol in them

As others have said it's fine to do this and I've been told by HCPs to do this when my RA pain is bad. Just make sure you keep below the maximum 24 hours dose for each and be careful not to take other meds containing paracetamol or ibuprofen.
