Things to do in Bristol

Going up to visit my brother in a couple of weeks, just for the day. My 2 DCs are 6 & 10. Do we do the zoo, or We The Curious science centre? Could we do both in a day without rushing? We're going up from Southampton so only a couple of hours each way to drive. Any other options welcome!

SS Great Britain is a good one for all ages

I reckon you could do both. The zoo is lovely but really not very big at all. It's been a few years since I went to the science museum. It was still called @bristol when we went but again, not an all day thing. We were there with 3 children between 4 and 8.

The aquarium is another option too. It's pretty much beside the science museum and again, not an all day thing. Not sure if it's still the same but when we went you could return for free throughout the day so left and went back for an octopus demonstration.

There's some nice places to eat round the corner from there too.

I think you could do both too. Would be a full day, but both are great attractions.
