I I’m new to this so please bear with me. I’m a mother of 4 aged 18-3. I was diagnosed with leukaemia in may of last year so due to the medication I’m not supposed to get pregnant again. Last week I had been feeling so tired all the time and a little sickly in the mornings so thought I’d better test!! I bought a Lloyd’s test (pink dye) it was faint positive so bought another and again faint but defo a line there!! I then bought a clear blue digital which was negative and 2 Tesco tests also both negative!! Had very light spotting (only on wiping and brownish) for a few days so thought it was my period! Now I have sore breasts!! Any ideas people???

When is your period due?

Mummy088101 · 20/01/2019 17:36

I had the light spotting last week for around 3 days, not even enough to go on a panty liner!

Pink dye tests are supposed to much more sensitive than clear blue.

It does sound like you could be pregnant to me. I would seek advice from your doctor

Feel like such an idiot for even asking having had 4 kids! Didn’t want to waste the money on more tests so thought I’d see what other people thought first! I’ll pick a test up tomorrow and try it again! Thanks for taking the time to reply 😁

Oh there’s always someone happy to reply so don’t feel you’ve wasted anyone’s time. I’ve had two children yet I’ve still been doing pregnancy tests the last couple of days (which are negative). I’m still not entirely sure what is going on.

I’ve had a very positive false positive on a Lloyd’s pharmacy test in the past. It was about 3 years ago now but when I googled, found it to be a problem others had experienced. I would have hoped they would have rectified this three years down the line but possibly not if you’re getting negatives on all other brands. Try a first response they will be most accurate.

I had seen about the false positives after I done the tests! Just with my breasts being tender I’m beginning to wonder again!!
Soubriquet I hope you get the result you want, and thank you for the kind reply 🥰
