Does the pensioner have to be named on the bill for the household to qualify for the warm home discount? Or is it enough for the pensioner to simply live at the address like it is with the TV license pensioner discount?

This is it in a nutshell. TIA.

I think it depends on the supplier. There seems to be 2 groups who can get it. The Core group where they do need to be on the bill and the broader group where you apply depending on who is in the household. Check the suppliers website for eligibility

dementedpixie thank you so much for looking for that for me. I've been googling and could only find the basics about warm home eligibility.

On our supplier website for both core and and broader group you ''must be the account holder or partner of the account holder'' to be eligible for the discount. Whatever the qualifying circs. might be.

So - Yes the pensioner has to be on the bill it seems. Complicated situation but basically we're trying to simplify the household bill paying in a multi generational household while ideally hanging on the £140 discount ... i think we're thwarted there! Bugger. :)
