Savernake forest?

I have spent ages looking for this story!! Somebody posted a link to the thread but couldn't find the story within the thread. Would anyone be able to copy and paste it for me ? Curiosity is getting the better of me 😆

We were in Savernake on the 19th August as kids and asked Dad what the noise was aa it sounded like gunfire. He told us it was probably a car backfiring but said we had to leave - we were meeting others for a cream tea in the Polly Tea Rooms.

The Savernake story posted above doesn’t even come close to being scary. (And it’s obviously made up)

I remember reading the original thread.....must have been years ago now. I don't believe a word of it but it's a good story!
