I’d forgotten how good it is, tremendous acting from Sarah Lancashire and James Norton, and such incredibly complex and powerful narrative; the writer has produced rich, multi layered characters to truly believe in.

What else might I like?

Absolutely no similarity except that I love them both...but I rebinged on fleabag yesterday. That really is brilliant.

Coincidentally, I'm currently working my way through Line of Duty from start to finish and finished off series 2 (which I'd never seen) last night. I love the fact that Ted, Kate and Steve are all flawed, but still on the side of right, and was incredibly impressed by Keeley Hawes. Now really looking forward to series 3.

How about Call the Midwife? Great writing, strong female characters and issues dealt with without preaching. Not nearly as "cosy" as it seems!

Another vote for Line if Duty. I’ve been binge watching after seeing umpteen recommendations on MN and it is fabulous (series 1 the weakest but still good).

I've just binge watched Bodyguard and Informer. Absolutely brilliant programmes.
Unforgotten is fantastic too.

The kid (can't remember name, Ryan?) is all growed up now, so harder to protect from Tommy Lee Royce.. Can't wait!!!!
