Cosy country hotel not too far from London

I’m looking to get out of London next weekend and trying to find a lovely hotel with log fires, swimming pool or spa and excellent food.

Any recommendations?

Depends how much you want to spend.

Pennyhill Park is in Bagshot, but is megabucks
Runnymede Hotel in Egham
Bailiffscourt in Climping, West Sussex. That might be too far away though. Climping is near Rustington.

Thanks Foxy. Penny hill is too many ££££. Runnymede looks good and they are having Scottish week for Burns night, so ticks a box I didn’t even have.

Hambleton hall, Oakham is lovely. Just over 2hrs away.
