Don't know what to do. Help needed

Over the last few years I have put on 3.5 stone. I have tried different things to lose weight, joined slimming world, gym, tried diets at home but I just can't stick to them. Am so depressed about how I look that I don't want yo go.out or let DP see me with no clothes on but just can not stick to any thing. Sweet tooth and busy lifestyle also to blame. Help what can I do? This is ruining my life.

Losing weight is (for the majority of the population) about creating a calorie deficit. You need to eat less than you expend. If you eat just 100 calories less a day than you do now you will (slowly) lose weight. It sounds a little like you have gone too hard/restrictive before.

I would download MyFitnessPal and log everything you eat on a normal week. Weigh your food if possible so it’s accurate. Then after a week of doing that reduce the calories by 10%. That should be your target ongoing. It will be a slow weight loss but it will be sustainable.

Make very tiny adjustments to your diet every couple of weeks. So tiny it’s barely noticeable. And you will slowly improve how you eat. For example, have one day a week where you don’t eat chocolate.

Remember it’s 80% diet, so if you don’t enjoy exercise then don’t stress too much about that element yet.
