So, i was looking at a thread (this is not a TAAT) about pronunciation of a word, and it turns out the OP was not from the UK. I nearly put, well why ask on a mainly UK site, but then thought, i dont know if thats right?

Now, i know not everyone is from the UK, and i was wondering what kind of breakdown we have

Live in UK, born in Italy, lived in Austria from ages 3 to 9, back to Italy from 9 to 11, then lived in Switzerland from 11 to 19 then Germany from 19 to 25, back to Italy from 25 to 30. Met my husband who was on holiday from UK in Italy, I moved with him to UK, we've just has our 4th baby and will be moving back to Italy in June.

Well I was born abroad but I am in the UK now, and I am British too.
It doesn't sit right with me when people say/ think I am not from here and I speak fluently enough to be able to question the pronunciation of a word
I guess we will never be accepted 100%
