I just don't understand. There were two of them. Even if one had mental issues, how could the other one let this happen?

The dad gave an interview to the Sun before Christmas as well, he had lived with them at one point too. Before prison.
One of the articles described her head lice being so bad the couch she slept on had partially disintegrated with them. I can’t get that image out of my head.
Six years is so ridiculously inadequate. Her poor siblings too.

Sickened by the sentences the parents will be serving. Just don't understand at all!

Poor Lauren was failed by so many.

Firstly and foremost the people who ought to have been looking after her. Six years is a bloody disgrace. I cannot understand why they will ever be allowed out.

But how did they get away with such prolonged neglect? How many chances were they given by social workers?

I really pray her siblings are in a much better place now.

Where were the social workers, health visitors, authorities?

Horrific.

In cases like this where defenceless children are involved, the perpetrators should be hanged. Sheer wickedness.
