Moped v car provisional licenses.

Are they the same?

I am trying to buy my 16 year old one ready for when she is 17, and so she can take her theory test beforehand, etc. And mostly so she has is and can buy herself paracetamol 😆

But I am confused my the application process. Does it automatically change to a car one when she turns 17? Or does it come stating moped only and I'll need to pay again and get another one?

get the license for her moped then when she as passed her car driving test you send it off to the dvla to have the ful driving license put on.
i think she can learn to drive moped and car on the provisional.the moped test isnt as intense as a driving test
