Anyone else with a overactive imagination?

I was reading a woo 'scary' thread in the MN classics and now have 'seen' something in my house ( currently alone with a dog who barks if freaked )... I haven't it is a shadow by an open bedroom door. FUCKS Sake!

I can't do crime stories or weird freaky unexplained stuff as I can get a bit obsessed with it and then frighten myself silly - Hmm. Horror is a massive NO as I can't sleep for days. I have got worse with age, plus also have a partner who is shit scared of anything scary. No bloody hope for me Grin

Anyone else suffer?

Me!
I never watch or read anything horror/suspense etc as I get freaked out. I am a sensible grown up person in every other way!

I'd like to think I was sensible grown up too Beamur Grin.

Aw god me too OP but I actually did see something in my house and so did my youngest when he was around 2 he told me there was a lady in my bedroom and was hysterical, wouldn't go in for weeks until he either forgot or got over it. I couldn't sleep after watching bird box and it's not even scary ffs! I could watch anything when I lived with my parents, infact I quite liked being scared but now I'm the adult it's a no go 😂 I'm a massive shite bag when it comes to the paranormal.

If I come across a woo thread though I can't stop from reading it. Then I discovered scary stories on Pinterest and got lost down that rabbit hole a few times!

HowlsMovingBungalow · 18/01/2019 20:37

Drogo I totally get the falling down the rabbit hole and becoming more scared but can't stop reading.

Reading seems ok to me at first ( I love reading ) it gets me intrigued and then I google and then enter the rabbithole ie can't stop thinking about the scary thing/s.

Scary films, I cannot entertain. Too much info/detail.
