A few weeks ago I was online and a pop up said I would be charged £4.50 a week. I was s bit Hmmand thought it was a scam and nothing would happen as I couldn't see how they could get my details. I hadn't entered anything. It literally popped up. I texted the unsubscribe number straight away. Got my phone bill and they've taken £15. 02 have no blocked it. But we're clearly aware of the issue as they had the details to get a refund. The number doesn't work. No surprise. It's only £-5 but how on earth is this allowed to happen? It's theft!

"I texted the unsubscribe number straight away."

That will be where the charge is from. It will have been a premium charge number.

No it's not. They've been taking £4.50 each week. I'm not as bothered about a charge for a stop text. Just want the weekly payments stopped. I don't understand how people get away with it.

If you contact your phone provider you can make sure that they are doubly blocked.

Yes. I did that. It was them who gave me the defunct customer services number. So it's clearly a well known thing.

I had something similar. Three failed to block them even when I phoned after the first month. I changed service providers.

Hoping 02 are better. I really like them. I am not to bothered about the £15 they've stolen. It's the principle. And how on earth are they get enough details to be able to do it without me signing up to anything. The page literally popped up when I was looking for something completely different.

I think I would contact O2 again and say that you will put the problem on a public forum unless they resolve it.
