I’m on mat leave with a very needy baby and trying my best to keep my mental health together by making the house nice etc.
Just looking for some ideas to make my day a bit brighter.
Little things I do are:
- Ironing the baby’s clothes with ironing water (weirdly I like ironing and find it therapeutic!)
- I bought a candle burner so I’ve been lighting that most days and it’s cheaper than buying the pots.
- Fresh flowers from Lidl. Super cheap and seem to last ages
- Opening the windows to let fresh air in
- Watching Gilmore girls and drinking (decaf) coffee from my favourite mug.
- Writing a cleaning to do list.
- Having lots of healthy food in the fridge for lunch like avocados/ smoked salmon (even though the biscuits cancel it out!)
