Hi all I have a friend that I know had a short fling / affair behind her husbands back. This resulted in her becoming pregnant & she told me it wasn't her husbands but was result of her fling! She doesn't talk about at all ... Now forward 16 yrs on ..the husband has brought up her child, Im sure her husband knows the truth as he knew about the affair .
The thing is I know she is keeping this lie from her son. Do you think he has the right to be told ? What are people's thoughts.

After 16 years don't be the person to our this, 100% not your place at all.

Hating lies will be nothing compared to the hate you will receive for blowing this up

I wasn't saying I'm going to tell him! But just thought he should have the right to know who his real dad is, but I guess nobody would want to know it that was them then

Oh sorry OP! I thought you were asking if you should tell him!

In that case I would say he does deserve to know the truth but the kindest way is from his mum and it sounds like that isn't going to happen in a hurry!
