Bathroom bins and period disposables...

Whats the rule....?

At dps for the weekend, he knows im on my period so im guessing has an understanding with what that entails, he has lived with an ex before...

He has a bathroom bin, but not a lidded bin, is it bad to put my used pads (obviously wrapped etc...) And leave him to empty the bin....?? Would it be weird if i emptied his bin...?? Not sure how to handle this one haha

You could ask him?

Justmuddlingalong · 17/01/2019 21:50

Wrap it up and put it in the outside bin?

3boysandabump · 17/01/2019 21:52

I'd use outside bin

Not weird for you to empty the bin. I would just put them in there and then empty the bin at the end of the day.

dementedpixie · 17/01/2019 21:53

Is the bin lined? I'd just put them in it

Ribbonsonabox · 17/01/2019 21:54

I'd put it in the bathroom bin. Cant be arsed going to great lengths pretending not to bleed especially not with a romantic partner.

Wow. 3 threads about periods in active conversations this evening Hmm.

Fluffyears · 17/01/2019 22:08

I had mine whilst staying with mil whilst we moved house. I told her that since I had my period i’d Empty the bathroom bin. No big deal.

DiamondsInTheMud · 18/01/2019 22:34

Not sure if the 2 things are linked, but put them in the bin, emptied the bin today, and dp has now asked me to move in with him 😂 must have been the right decision haha

Just wrap it well in tissue and put it in the bathroom bin. Unless the bin is full other rubbish will get chucked on top of it anyway. Don't see an issue.

DiamondsInTheMud · 18/01/2019 22:46

I usually wrap the used pad in the wrapper of the new one, so its looks more obviously a used pad. I suppose i could have wrapped in tissue instead but that seems a bit wasteful when im throwing the wroapper out anyway

You could use a small bag - nappy sack, small food bag - if you didn't want them lying around. Our a specific sanitary bag - think you can get some paper ones but they're dearer.
