DH and I have the opportunity to go away for a few days without the DC's and I was hoping for some recommendations please. We want to stay within the UK and we live in the South East, so only want to go a couple of hours drive away max.

Somewhere with comfy beds and a great restaurant on site. Desperately need to relax and re charge. Thanks in advance.

I too was going to suggest the Scarlet, if you're willing to travel as far as Cornwall. The cliff top hot tub would be worth any drive!

Ahh thank you but Cornwall is too far.

brooklands hotel and spa
Near Mercedes Benz world if you or dh are into cars - they have a nice cafe with yummy cake
The hotel has a rooftop hot tub, lovely restaurant and they also do afternoon tea.
We went last sept on a groupon deal.

Bailliffscourt in Climping (West Sussex coast) is like a timeless bubble. Looks medieval but isn't, has a fabulous spa and private beach. Really quiet this time of year. www.hshotels.co.uk
