Dongle

Advice needed on the best value dongle that would be used mainly in the UK (although one where you could do an add on for overseas would be good to). At home we have virgin wifi. My mobile contract is with Tesco

Can you not tether the device to your phone? I found it cheaper (and a better connection) to increase my data allowance and use that instead of a dongle.

It depends on the signal where you are going to use it. For example videophone has a terrible signal in my village so there would be no point having one of there dongles.

I may consider having to increase my data allowance. I hadn't thought of that. But I'm open to other suggestions too

I'd been told that tethering just eats your data.
I don't have that much data on my phone so would prefer to be able to buy a sort of 'PAYG' stick of data that I can just use for the odd few minutes I need to when out and about / at meetings with my laptop.
