Does this thing exist?

I need a display screen thing. About TV sized. To show slides/videos/present to small groups.
I use an iPad as a laptop (also Netflix, YouTube, shopping etc).

Is there any way to just plug an iPad into a screen to play these?

Alternatively is there a screen thing I could just plug a data stick thing into a screen and present that way?

Can you not just use a TV?

You should be able to get a monitor/smartboard to do similar. There are adapters to link them, Or email the presentation to yourself and use a netbook linked to a projector.

You can screencast on lots of phones and tablets (I assume so for an ipad). Basically transmits whatever's on the device to the larger screen.

You can get ipad to hdmi cables, have you already got a TV or monitor?

You should be able to get a HDMI connector for about £4 if the tv isn't a smart tv or WiFi enabled. Hook up iPad to tv via lead, change channel to HDMI1 or whatever on tv, observe display on screen.

Some apps won't work with that if eg they charge less for their internet than tv service - for example I think Sky used to be one, but I haven't had sky in years so I don't know what it's like now.

Amazing. Much simpler than I was expecting. Just need a TV and I’m off.
