It froze overnight here in the NW.
I hope it stays that way, or goes away.
I still haven’t got over last year....😟🙂.

BoringSoupBeforeTheTurkeyFeast · 17/01/2019 09:50

Where we are in the NW, I meant.

Newsername · 17/01/2019 09:53

We had snow for 10 mins at 7.45. It got the kids out of bed and dressed quickly for a walk to school in the snow. So it served its purpose. It didn’t even set Grin. Gutted kids Grin

CoraPirbright · 17/01/2019 09:57

We had a flurry here for about 20 mins at c 8.30 this am!! South east.

BarbaraofSevillle · 17/01/2019 10:24

We had some overnight in south Leeds that set on the windscreen, seemingly resistant to deicer Angry.

3boysandabump · 17/01/2019 10:35

We have a cm or 2 that has stuck. NE

BoringSoupBeforeTheTurkeyFeast · 17/01/2019 10:39

It took a couple of minutes to open the wheelie bins this morning, really solid stuck.
It’s a gorgeous sunny day otherwise.

gingercat02 · 17/01/2019 10:43

We do too, NE coast. I love it❄🌨😀

StealthPolarBear · 17/01/2019 10:46

Seems to have stopped. For good I hope. I too haven't got over last year, which was only April, so 9 months ago. We had very heavy snow then and lots of disruption

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 17/01/2019 10:46

And just as I clicked post it started again

sanityisamyth · 17/01/2019 10:48

Nothing at all in SW. Not even ice!

Howmanysleepstilchristmas · 17/01/2019 10:50

Where are you all? I want snow!

StealthPolarBear · 17/01/2019 10:52

The North East. Its not actually that cold, got down to about freezing this morning but I suspect its about five degrees now.

BoringSoupBeforeTheTurkeyFeast · 17/01/2019 11:29

@StealthPolarBear, yes, the visions of last year’s heavy snow and disruption come back to mind when I hear the word snow.
Still sunny here, but I haven’t yet checked the weather forecast for the next day or so (daren’t).

TillyVonMilly · 17/01/2019 12:26

It’s beautiful and sunny here in West Yorkshire, only 1 degree and the ground is still icy, patio is like an ice rink Shock
The snowdrops are flowering though Smile

Tonightstheteriyakichicken · 17/01/2019 12:32

No sign of snow here in SW but 2 degrees at breakfast and only 4 now.
(After snow in March last year I wouldn't be surprised if we get some past February).

Lodgepot · 17/01/2019 12:38

Just a little bit here so far (NE Highlands)

We have snow
donttakethebiscuit · 17/01/2019 12:43

Snow here that’s jow going sleety, but we have a yellow warning for snow and ice for today and tomorrow!

BoringSoupBeforeTheTurkeyFeast · 17/01/2019 13:33

The view from our back bedroom.
No snow here, yet.

We have snow
BoringSoupBeforeTheTurkeyFeast · 17/01/2019 13:35

Sorry, it’s a bit blurred.
I’m wondering whether to go for a walk while it’s nice.

MulticolourMophead · 17/01/2019 13:47

We didn't have any snow on the ground today, but I was scraping it off the car just before 7am (East Mids).

TattiePants · 17/01/2019 14:02

I'm also in the NE (coast) and the sun's out now and all the snow we had earlier has melted. GOOD! The gritters are out so they are obviously expecting it to get colder.

StealthPolarBear · 17/01/2019 15:31

Yes it's been a nice day. I've had the windows open and been watching the birds enjoying the apples that fell off our tree months ago

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 17/01/2019 15:32

The main reason I have the windows open is because our washing machine isn't spinning, so when stuff comes out of the machine it's onto hot radiators and windows open to reduce humidity. It's not quite that warm in general.
