Never been, but am about to break that seal and book a stay in May.

Is it worth paying the extra and choosing where your accommodation is?
And if so, any tips on where the best place to stay is?
In fact, any tips at all?

Many thanks

We've been to bluestone several times, we have twin 7 year old who love it there. I would recommend paying for the golf buggy as its very hilly! The kids love to pretend drive it around the place. There's a huge Tesco in carmarthen if you want to do a shop before you get there. We never pay extra for the named accommodation we tend to stay in prescilly view. Its not a huge site and pretty easy to get around if you have a golf buggy

There's a thread in UK Travel at the moment discussing Bluestone.

I wouldn’t spend the extra choosing where you stay. It’s not massive so wherever you are you’ll only be 10 mins max away from the village. The swimming pool is set further out but we have only had a golf buggy once. Completely walkable unless you have a very slow toddler (which was us last time we went)

We've been 4 times, never paid extra to choose where to stay and never had a golf buggy, first went when ds was 2 and each year since and he has always managed walking as other say it is not a massive site but it is hilly !
Lot's of people eat at the onsite places on the last night , so if you plan to do this book ahead, we didn't one year and could only get a table at about 8pm, no good with a small person to feed. The shop on site has all the basics but is pricey so as previous there is a big Tesco on the way or Sainsburys in Tenby next to the multi story cat park.

Tesco in Haverfordwest is only 15 mins away too.

I didn't pay any extra but we were given the best cabin in the park Smile. Don't worry too much about booking restaurant time slots, either: I needn't have bothered. Have a lovely time, it's magic there.

Spend the extra on a golf buggy, not picking your spot

Steer clear of the 25-minute treatments in the spa - they are perfunctory - but do book a session in the thermal suite.

Agree, no need to specify where you stay but a golf buggy is essential IMO - we all have such a great time driving it!
