No I don't think there is a thread on here - my link was to the NZ Herald newspaper, they are the talk of NZ at the moment! Summer here so not much happening news wise.

Yeah. I saw an article from The Times on Facebook yesterday with a load of racist comments and noticed that they reposted with the nationality changed later on in the day after a lot of criticism of the original headline.

It's a gypsy/traveller family causing uproar in NZ. It was being reported as Irish tourists. Now it's being reported as Brit tourists.

Another family recently did the same thing on the Gold Coast in Australia.

I guess not then. I suppose the news is full of Brexit. It's massive news over here though as it's an unknown thing.

They were originally described as scousers.. it’s definitely a traveller family though and they don’t sound anything like scousers.

That's right because they told journalists they lived in Liverpool.

Reading those links of all their behaviour they sound like utter scum.

Why? I thought the press would be outraged and comment on them being called Brit tourist family - they do have British passports apparently but probably wouldn't identify as British. I'm guessing there, of course, but would guess they'd prefer to identify as Traveller.

(I am English by the way, not actually Australian, so not having a dig.)
