Really very concerning.

Wow that’s a huge and outrageous increase in the number of cases of measles between 2016 and 2018. Not surprised they took the decision to name “vaccination hesitancy” as a major thread to world health.

Perhaps the NHS etc. needs to start looking at what they're doing to cause people to not trust them and not get them or their kids vaccinated

TightPants · 17/01/2019 00:11

Interesting that you seem to think it’s the fault of the NHS Kethy.
Hmm

There have always been anti vax conspiracy theorists banging on in the background.

Since that discredited Wakefield cunt, had that 'study' printed in The Lancet, people have been refusing vaccinations for their children in increasing numbers.

The so called research has been thoroughly debunked, the theory behind it discredited, he has been successfully prosecuted and discharged from medicine, but people don't want to let go of their convictions that vaccinations are painful, harmless and unnecessary.

No one wants to inflict pain on their child and no one wants to see their child upset, but vaccinations are one of those 'cruel to be kind' things that must be done.

People underestimate just how dangerous 'childhood' illnesses are and fail to grasp how some people can fight off an illness with almost no consequences, while others are seriously harmed or killed by the same bug.

I know several antivaxers who are also breastfeeding advocates. They often point to the WHO as a trustworthy authority on health matters. It will be interesting to see how they respond to this statement.
