Feeling nasty, period or something else? TMI warning [Edited at OP's request]

Got my period this morning and been feeling nauseous all day on and off. I've been sick in the last hour but retching on and off since 5.30pm. I've also had diarrhoea which is something considering I'm on iron tablets which are notorious for constipation.

Not eaten anything unusual, DD was sick over the weekend but is fine now, and more than likely related to her vaccinations. I've also not got a fever which she did.

Is it possible this is all just period and I should eat all the chocolate and feel sorry for myself or something else?

Iron tablets make me nauseous and give me diarrhoea - could it be that?

Just noticed the title typo, how frustrating.

Been on the iron since October and this has come on quite suddenly today.

I often feel very nauseous on the first day but have never actually been sick with it. Hope it's just one of those crappy periods and you feel better soon Flowers

Thank you. What wonderful timing, started a new job last week and would rather not be taking sick days.

Probably a stomach bug - most likely caught from your daughter.

Are you losing a lot of blood? (more than usual, feel faint etc)

Bobbiepin · 16/01/2019 23:54

Actually not losing any blood atm, had a pad in since 7pm and nothing. I passed out standing up from the toilet though.
