14 month old and new baby

I'm due to have my 2nd little boy in just over 3 months and my 1st little boy will be between 14 & 15 months depending when I go. I'm really stuck on what travel system we should go with. I don't want to spend £1000's on a tandem pram when actually there's something cheaper and just as good or better on the market, although don't mind spending that if it's the best option (I constantly feel guilty that we will be pushing DS1 out of his pram for DS2).

We currently have a lovely Silvercross pram, but nowhere can we find attachments for this particular Silvercross to convert it to a tandem. I have looked at a seat that attaches to the bottom of the pram and turns into a step when they're older, but like I said would I be pushing DS1 out of his pushchair for DS2??

I have seen different systems and tried to shop around, but wanted advice and opinions from anyone who may have been in a similar situation.

Personally I would just get a sling for the baby and keep ds in the pushchair. By the time baby needs it he'll be walking.

The Bugaboo Donkey is a great pushchair. It is quite pricey though but I love the fact it can be a solo pushchair then be extended to add another chair.

I have an 18 month age gap and went with the icandy orange. I absolutely love it. DS1 (21 months) is a confident walker however no way could I have him walking while I push DS2 in the pram. He’s just not old enough yet to understand plus he’s rather prone to sit down protests if we don’t go the way he wants. We currently have a seat and carrycot on the pram and then will convert to two seats in a few months. It has cinema seating on it so both children can see (instead of one being underneath). It also has a built in buggy board for when DS1 is old enough.
I really liked the new icandy peach too but it was so much more expensive and didn’t have the buggy board.

We have also bought the Joie aire twin for holidays.

I've bought a second hand narrow double (out n about nipper) and plan on using that for a short time until older child will reliably use a buggy board on the back of a single buggy - we also have the silver cross travel system and another umbrella fold single buggy in the car. I can't see we will need a double for that long. My friend has a 2.5 year old who walks everywhere instead!

Thanks you for all the help! I'll discuss with partner as they are expensive 🙈 was considering just using a sling, but Don't fancy having to use a sling every time we go out!
