What is the scaring like with breast reduction surgery?

I'm considering a breast reduction but I'm worried about excessive scaring.
If you have had this operation, did the surgeon use an anchor lift or a vertical lift? Which procedure gives the most natural shape?
Are you happy with the results? and how long did the scars take to fade?

I'm interested to hear from real people or any medical people. Thanks.

Hi.. I am a doctor and had this surgery.
I had anchor type with reduction and lift.
I had what is deemed a hyper or large reduction.. More that 1.5 kg off each boob.
I had seriously bad post op care and have very bad keloid scars... Would have some keloid scars whatever as these are genetic.
I luckily did not have nipple necrosis but lost most of one areola and didn't heal for six months.
However... I'd do it again in a heartbeat...
I am now 13 yrs post op and still love my boobs and pass the pencil test...
I just wish I'd researched my surgeon more...

My advice... Go local, do not use a big company.. I went to one in London.. Lived in Bristol at the time and after care wS a nightmare

jellybean, is the long horizontal scar that goes underneath the breast largely hidden?

You say you had a lift as well. I thought having a reduction automatically lifted them?
Thanks for answering these questions.
