As the title says - has anyone else had a problem? I was refused a gift card in my local store and told I needed to exchange the items. This was not possible as the items were for my son who wasn't with me. I argued the toss but the manager was adamant. I came home and checked their policy for store refunds and found that I was right, so went back again.
A different person told me that they used to do that but "weren't allowed to at the moment ". I explained that I expected a credit on a card in line with their policy and the manager re-appeared. She did it rather begrudgingly and tried to tell me that the reason she refused previously was that the items were menswear and that store doesn't carry menswear. It was all very odd and I wasn't best pleased. Very poor customer service!
