Hello all,
I need some advice regarding amending a divorce petition which I sent to the court in 2017 on the basis of living at separate addresses for 2 years (even though we were separated for 3.5 years). Sadly my ex did not want to accept it so my petition is still with the court.
Yesterday i called the court and asked if i can amend the petition to 5 years living at different addresses and i was advised this isn't possible and i need to find different grounds for separation.
I am super stressed as my ex is very difficult to approach and i cannot pay another £550 for a new petition.
Has anyone been through this? Any advice is highly appreciated. Thank you.
