Not seen anything on here about a remarkable Mum in The Spine Race which is an annual non-stop race along the 268 mile Pennine Way that started on Sunday morning. At the moment and for much of the race this extraordinary woman called Jasmine Paris is leading the race and heading to finish today, possibly in a record breaking time.
Jasmine has a baby just over a year old and is showing the amazing stamina that comes to new mums and I believe she is still expressing at the various stops en route to feed her daughter.
The race can be followed live on here.

Blimey, I've done the first 3 miles of that route and that was enough for me!

New Mum and Veterinary Surgeon.

She set off from Edale in Derbyshire and is now about 3 miles from Scotland in 73 hours. About 150 started and half are still going, the one who is last is about 110 miles behind her. Amazing.

Is she the lady who did similar at a famous alps race a few months ago, was expressing at every rest stop.

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 16/01/2019 12:29

Yes, she took her baby with her to the alps marathon last year and fed him during the night.

She won just after 7 last night and broke the record, guy who was 2nd dropped out SIX km from the end about 5 hours behind her and the actual 2nd place and fastest man has only just finished, 15 hours behind Jasmine. Those facts about this epic feat were not mentioned when Jasmine was interviewed on BBC Breakfast about 9 this morning, looking fresh as a daisy.

What an inspiration.

I was amazed that the guy in second place dropped out so close to the end. He must be so ill.

Well done to Jasmin though. Incredible feat!
