Was flicking through MN on bus. Saw thread about DD not being invited to be a bridesmaid.

Some one suggested she be a page girl.

I've not heard of that so I googled.

On the bus. Surrounded by students.

Page 3 girls come up Blush

Never turned my phone off so fast in my life Blush

Cherry321 · 16/01/2019 08:52

Sorry but that made me laugh!! If it's any consolation my friend was trying to lose a bit of weight and googled 'fat stripper' Blush

jenelleyg · 16/01/2019 08:56

When I was in high school I googled Honeyz as in the girl group The honeyz (showing my age here) but instead, pages of half naked girls came up and my tutor was sat on the computer next to me Blush. I still haven't forgotten and high school was a long time ago.

When DD was about 7 or 8 she wanted an electric vibrating rubber (apparently Smiggle sold them)... I managed to talk her out of searching on Google, i dread to think what she'd have found Shock

I once got really annoyed with my work PC when I was looking for some jewellery and it kept blocking pages. Took me ages to twig why it wasn't letting me view 'pearl necklace'... Grin

I once tried to show a national express driver my ticket only to show him a full frontal nude pic of me. We just looked at each other for what felt like the wierdest longest time. Not a Google story but an omg I wish that hadn't come up on my phone story. I feel your pain.

School had taught DD how to Google (part of IT apparently).Hmm

Strangled cry from upstairs...'Mummy...what are these people doing??'

She'd Googled 'Dolphin Lovers'....sigh.

When my phone died once I took it in to a large store with me when I went to get a new one, they said they could get all the photos off the old phone, I was very relieved not to lose all my photos, they plugged it in to their computer and transferred them.... what I didn't realise until they started doing that was that all my photos would pop up on their computer, so in front of the staff, one by one, all my photos, both kiddie friendly and not so all popped up.

Wish the ground could have swallowed me up then and there haha.

I used cloth nappies on my DS. One day I googled the name of a nappy I wanted to try called something like a plushy. I accidentally clicked on a site that sold cuddly toys with an erm, orifice built in.

HandDriedRoses · 16/01/2019 12:21

Once at work I was tasked with making a poster congratulating a staff member on her wedding. I googled “wedding bough” and saw a nice one in google images, clicked on it and it took me to a wedding porn site! No idea how it got through the filters. Never clicked out a webpage so fast! My face was burning. Phoned our IT dept to quick explain myself in case it flagged something up but they were based in India so took the guy a while to understand so had to keep explaining which made it even worse!

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 16/01/2019 13:30

I once googled "facials near me" fuck was not expected what popped up!

Squeakyheart · 16/01/2019 13:54

Wanted to go to a fancy dress party as cyndi Lauper and googled girls just want to have fun at work!

I was coming off a night shift at work and was grabbing a pack of brioche for breakfast. As I reached inside my bag to get my card to use on the pin pad, I saw a purple sanitary pad had come out with it in my hand. The man at the till had a massive smirk on his face and already tired from the long night, I just sighed. I never saw him again though, so that’s a plus!

vampirethriller · 16/01/2019 15:23

I handed the man in my local shop what I thought was the loose fiver from the bottom of my bag. It was a strawberry condom.

BagofTeeth · 16/01/2019 15:25

This might show my age a bit but I used to love the TV show "Changing Rooms" and wanted to get some autographs from people on the show so I searched for the show title. Some very interesting results came up there. Blush

I googled the name of the gym I wanted to join. Virgin active. Blush

ABigBraclet · 16/01/2019 15:30

jenelleyg I loved The Honeyz, they were an all round nice girl group. I still hum one of their songs when it pops into my head, just the other week in fact.

BlueKarou · 16/01/2019 15:32

When I was at secondary school; year 7 or 8, we had a local young boyband come in to school to play their music and I think we were given the chance to buy their CD single back when those were an actual thing. A few days later my Mum took me in to her work one Saturday so she could get something done. I got to play on the computers, and started to search the internet for this band...

They were called 'Passion' - I was not prepared for some of the search results.

HandDriedRoses · 16/01/2019 21:55

My mum did some paid work at her local church and was in charge of organising refreshments at an event. She wanted an efficient way to distribute soft drinks and so she googled "big jugs". I think the church installed a firewall soon after Grin

IamMummyhearmeROAR · 16/01/2019 22:05

I googled ‘class clock’ when doing analogue time with my primary kids. I googled ‘ ass clock’ instead. Yes it does exist
