Dulce Gusto pods

I got a coffee machine for Christmas, it's a Nescafe Dulce Gusto. The cafe au lait pods are lovely, as are the hot chocolate ones but I bought a pack of 3 cappuccino pods from amazon and they are awful. Some pods are just strong horrible black coffee, some are just milk. Absolutely disgusting to taste. I thought I may have a rogue box but tried random ones from each box and everyone I tried was undrinkable.
I also bought some latte macciata pods today and they are equally as foul.
Has anyone else experienced this? Both the cappuccino and the macciata pods are honestly disgusting. I'm so disappointed.

@cheeseandbiscuitsplease they do an intense version of the cafe au lait which I have but haven't sampled yet which might help your DH 😀

The official pods are coloured, white bottoms are milk and brown coffee. I think lidl compatible are coloured too

All my bottoms are the same colour 😉 3 rogue boxes by the sound of it.

Are the macchiato ones all the same colour too?

cheeseandbiscuitsplease · 15/01/2019 22:36

I'm in bed but I'm going to look at the macciata ones right now.... (grabs dressing gown)

Aha! The macchiato ones are different colours - brilliant. But I have 3 boxes of cappucino that are all in black pods. I think I've been swizzed. Could they be seconds from Anazon??

Yay latte!!

They are nice, much sweeter than the cafe au lait which are my favourite

Ive always found amazon very good at returns

Terribletweens · 15/01/2019 22:41

Ah ok, so hopefully you could try the macchiato again with better results but weird about the cappuccino, contact Amazon and ask for a replacement

cheeseandbiscuitsplease · 15/01/2019 22:51

I've just contacted amazon via email about my 48 same colour pods.....
Thank you everyone for replying.
Bit late for a coffee but I'm looking forward to a macchiato in the morning.
No wonder I was confused and my cappucino was so disgusting GrinI feelike I've been sold 3 boxes of seconds.

The cafe au lait intenso ones are in my local Asda... Most of the official Nescafé ones are stocked in supermarkets but Amazon do their own brand (happy belly I think) and a few other known brands like nesquik hot chocolate too. Next on my to try list is the cortado.
