You’re making me stupidly emotional every single time I watch you - and you’re my son’s favourite right now so that’s a lot.

I bawled three times tonight. Three. It’s ridiculous.

Same here!!
I cry with the village bit especially, but the whole film- all that love, it makes me so emotional.

Amirite · 15/01/2019 21:11

Every animation has me in tears. First few minutes of Up? Torture!!

MrsJamin · 15/01/2019 21:11

I can't watch Tarzan without crying. And I have watched it at least 30 times. "Cause you'll be in my heart..." 😭😭

fruityb · 15/01/2019 21:24

The opening of Up is stunning. It’s the best love story ever. Sobbed.

I also adore The Iron Giant! When he says superman at the end 😭😭😭

The end of Toy Story 3 had me doing proper uncontrollable ugly crying. Will never watch again.

Santasballsack · 15/01/2019 21:32

We cant watch up. My youngest is traumatised by the beginning. Its years since we watched it but she still cries at the mere mention of it.

Ahberdhoom · 15/01/2019 21:32

WALL-E when he forgets everything

slappinthebass · 15/01/2019 22:16

It was my sons favourite for a long whole and I can't tell you how many times we've watched it for fear of judgment . I've never ever got sick of it. So incredible and I can't work out how it didn't receive the same frenzy as Frozen (my sons current favourite). Cars is another one we've watched countless times in the house and it's possibly my favourite. Actually my favourite is definitely Tot Story(s) but Cars is on the same level of brilliance. Oh but Coco is an amazing new contender. Have only watched it 3 times so time will tell. I find Pixar are the only films that get better the more you watch them.

TheGreenDot · 16/01/2019 10:08

Brave. Has me sobbing as well to be fair. I love that one.
And yes dumbo baby mine.
Having kids puts a very new spin on a fair few things.

3luckystars · 16/01/2019 11:23

Baby mine, don't you cry.
Baby mine, dry your eyes.
Rest your head close to my heart,
Never to part, baby of mine.

Little one, when you play,
Pay no heed what they say.
Let your eyes sparkle and shine,
Never a tear, baby of mine.

If they knew all about you,
They'd end up loving you, too.
All those same people who scold you,
What they'd give just for the right to hold you.

From your hair down to your toes,
You're not much, goodness knows.
But, you're so precious to me,
Sweet as can be, baby of mine.

DianaPrincessOfThemyscira · 16/01/2019 11:27

We went to the cinema to watch TS3. I had two little boys in nursery at the time and I laughed out loud at the daycare bit. Then I sobbed at the end.

I have to leave the room at Baby Mine. I can’t even think about it without tearing up.

EyeDrops · 16/01/2019 11:42

Likewise, Baby Mine makes me sob just to think about. DH insists it's ok because at least Dumbo's mum is alive, but I find it heartbreaking!

After watching Toy Story 3 I had to sit in the car for ten minutes outside the cinema sobbing before I could calm down BlushSad

Why are Disney/Pixar films so distressing?!?

MrsFionaCharming · 16/01/2019 12:02

I was on my year abroad and homesick when Brave came out.

I cried buckets in the cinema, when she thinks her mum will be stuck as a bear forever. I missed my mum so much!

GrouchyKiwi · 16/01/2019 12:26

I love Moana. I spent a lot of time crying in the cinema, partially because it was so magnificent to see stories & characters I had grown up with in a Disney film. Moana's such a good character for children to learn from.

ilovebagpuss · 16/01/2019 13:26

I am not usually a cry at films type although I am not a heartless cow honest Grin but for some reason I cried buckets at ruddy Bing Bong fading away. This seems to have damaged me in some way as I cry at everything now! Particularly the bit in Frozen where it’s her sister she needs to kiss to heal and that bit in Malefacent with true loves kiss that is revealed to be what she feels for the girl she cursed arghhhh

fruityb · 16/01/2019 14:28

I think it is kids that do it to you! I’ve become an emotional wreck at all sorts now. She is a fab role model - and I think the love shown in the film from everyone gets me! There’s no nastiness or having to prove yourself. She just knows she has to do something and has to get on with it. It’s brilliant. The fact she’s a female has nothing to do with it and I love that about it too.

And because the Rock.

Tangled is one I can watch loads too. The music is excellent and the story is great.

LemonySippet · 17/01/2019 09:05

I took my DD to see Moana in the cinema when she was 4, I was just coming down with a terrible cold and was literally streaming from my nose and eyes anyway. We were the only ones in the screening and thank god, because I didn't stop bawling the whole way through. I was just so proud to have a daughter and kept thinking about how she could be whoever she wanted to be and she wasn't going to be held back by her misogynistic father (unlike me - THANKS DAD).

It still gets me, we have the soundtrack and certain parts of songs just set me off every time I hear them. It's an epic film.

In your face, Frozen.

MrsJamin · 17/01/2019 10:43

I wonder whether Moana is more moving for mums with daughters? I think Tarzan got me as it was a baby boy (I only have sons)

MonkeyfaceThereturn · 17/01/2019 10:47

I can't believe nobody has mentioned floating away from Baymax yet Sad

3luckystars · 17/01/2019 12:06

I watched Dumbo last night, and this morning after reading this thread.

Stompythedinosaur · 17/01/2019 12:07

I can't believe nobody has mentioned floating away from Baymax yet

This made me cry loads!

PennyMordauntsLadyBrain · 17/01/2019 12:26

Nooooo MrsJamin - I was in bits watching Tarzan a few months ago. Baby Tarzan looked like DD with the brown hair and blue eyes and it was all too much for me! That sodding Phil Collins song still makes me tear up as well.

I love Tangled as well- especially Flynn Ryder, he’s so well fleshed out compared to the other Disney princes.

Buddyelf · 17/01/2019 12:33

Toy Story 3 made me cry really ugly tears, when they all look at each other and realise they are going to die so they all hold hands, good grief!

WALL-E when he holds his own hands because he's lonely is unbearable.

Moana makes me really emotional, its a brilliant film, much better than Frozen.

Coco has me in tears and so did The Good Dinosaur. The film itself isn't one of my favourites but there is a scene where he and the little boy explain the death of loved ones with the little sticks and its gets me everytime.

The short called Lava also made me cry! I cried at a lonely volcano, I need help!
