"Poorly trumps" TMI

cjt110 · 15/01/2019 18:06

DH said DS (4) had pebble dashed the loo.

When I got in DS said he had poorly trumps. He dashed to the loo, trumped and lots of clear/cloudy liquid came out but no poo. 3rd time he'd been in about an hour and a half

He's just gone again and it's like... bitty poo in the water. Powdery I suppose?

I'm guessing he has a tummy bug?

Do I need to seek advice from the GP?

Just sounds like diarrhoea to me - has he eaten anything different?

cjt110 · 15/01/2019 18:16

Nothing that we are aware of. It doesnt appear to be watery like the runs... it like disintegrates when it is in the water

I'd give it 24 hours and go to the GP Thursday if no improvement - could be a 24 hour thing?

Apart from complaining of poorly trumps hes fine. Eating and drinking and playing... and gabbing on

Coincidentally, I've had a bad tum today too.

That's unlikely to be coincidence - you've probably both got a viral gastroenteritis.

Yes.. I'm wondering. DH had it the weekend before last.

My boss had it last Thurs/Fri...

Hpmfh.

I wouldn’t go to the doctors for one day of diarrhoea. Even in a small child. I wouldn’t unless it lasted longer than a few days, and if the child was generally unwell and not eating.

For myself I’m not sure I'd ever go for that reason but then I’ve never had diarrhoea for longer than a couple of days!

Give him a nice drink of juice and put a pull up on him tonight!

He's had some homemade smoothie and some porridge and an egg. Hoping the ingredients work to bind!!
