Do you bath your kids every night?

I usually do, but some evenings I just wonder if its ok for them to go a day without.

Obviously if they have done PE or something sweat-inducing I'd bath/shower them.

Just feeling lazy this evening.

Yes I do with DS (5). It's routine more than hygiene reasons though!

If we're out of routine and been out late, away from home etc then will skip it. But even then it's so much part of habit that when I get DS to acknowledge its bed that when he goes off to the bathroom he'll often have striped off anyway! So sometimes will do a 'flannel bath'... He stands in the bath and uses a damp flannel all over then quickly jump back out again! It works as part of the bedtime process and gets rid of some grubbyness. He's not a fan of showers so an alternative that works.

For baths he just has a little squirt of baby bubble bath in the water to make a few token bubbles and then hair washed 2 or 3 times a week, but don't use any other products body wash. But he's also lucky and never had dry skin or ecsma issues as well.

Yes because she’s 2 and a grubbiness magnet! I presume these will reduce as she gets older and gets less mucky, pretty sure we only had Sunday night baths till old enough to shower alone 🤔

We have a three year old. We mainly bath her every other night unless she has had a particularly messy day at nursery or specifically asks for a bath - she does love bath time.

In the summer yes, this time of year the 6 and 4yo are every other day / 4 times a week.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but we have to bath the 1yo every night as she has eczema. I always believed the reverse to be true but 2 separate nurses who specialise in eczema & allergies have given me this advice. The theory being that the skin is clean before I apply the emollients / ointments that help the baby's skin. If I didn't bath her everyday, the creams wouldn't be absorbed as much due to dirt / skin particles etc.

7yo gets a shower or sometimes a bath, every other day.

Baby gets bum washed under the warm tap (the tap is one of thosehose attachment thingies that can be lifted off its holder--very handy for washing a baby's bum!) several times a day. But a full on bath, only every other day.
