Solar panels. Mumsnet wisdom needed

Any experiences good or bad, recommendations for good companies or horror stories. The feed in tarriff ends in March and I'm wondering if they're worth it?

No one has solar panels??

We do but we're not in the UK so no real help to you, sorry.

We have them, we're on the house when we bought it. It'd take a very long time for you to recoup the spend on the panels imo x

I looked into it a few years ago and felt that they wouldn't be worth it. They last about 20 years so would need replacing as soon as I'd recouped their outlay.

Thank you, it all seems very complicated I just want one company who are reputable to tell me how much it will cost and when I will get that money back. Too much to hope for I guess!
