Can't get going today

I'm self employed and work from home but don't have much work on at the moment and am really struggling to get going this morning. There are plenty of chores I could do, but part of me just thinks "what's the point?" I can't figure out if I'm lazy or down!

Does anyone else feel like this sometimes? What helps?

Well I managed to get up, bathed and changed the bed. Now I'm decluttering whilst listening to R4 programme about decluttering Grin

Feel free to log your progress here if, like me, you're struggling Flowers

I feel your pain!!
Days are boring and tedious... as a SAHM there's plenty to do tomake time go by but I'm seriously in a funk. I have to do dishes AGAIN put on a load of laundry AGAIN etc...
feeling fed up on a day to day basis at the moment. :/
Sorry I don't have any advice apart from try and get out the house a bit if you can.

I am the same today! Baby is napping and so much I could do but I really can’t be arsed. Only time I get to myself!

Sahm here 🙄 toddler won't nap, house has toys all over it,another load of washing needs putting on I can't be arsed to sort any of it! Been browsing holidays to Bora Bora (that I'm no way shape or form going on) since 10am 🙈 I'm done with day to day life and like you op can't decide if I'm lazy or on a downer 😔

Yes - on a regular basis! Another poster recommended the Pomodoro Technique a while back, which suggests breaking down work into 25-minute segments then having a short break after each one. I think the idea is to make the tasks you have seem more manageable - and it's easier to be productive in short bursts.

I need to give it a try...

It's not so much that the tasks are overwhelming (although I am avoiding doing a job application) but that I feel sort of...blocked - iyswim? I just grind to a halt, especially if I'm cold.

I plodded on through the day though and managed some more decluttering/posting things for sale and a plumber visit. Then school run and dinner. So not awful. I just feel I could be doing more...
