Is this much bleeding normal after having an implant fitted?

I've never had one before so I don't know what to expect. The nurse didn't say anything about bleeding and I didn't think to ask. She said I should keep this dressing on for 3-4 days though, surely I can't keep it on with that much blood on it? Confused

I'd take it off and check it

That does look like a lot. Mine barely bled at all. Is it still bleeding or is that all old blood?
Either way keeping that on for days doesn't seem like a good idea. I'd take it off and check then re-cover

Hmmm ok, I'll look for another dressing and then take it off

Okay so I've found a new dressing. It's still wet, it's not scabbed over but it's not tricklng down my arm like a bad cut would or something. Should I be worried or not yet? Confused it was fitted about 11am this morning

This is it. Not sure why that really dark line is there like that. The implant goes from the bright red dot (bit smudged from me poking it) to the end of the bruising.

Wow, they really bruised you! I'd be tempted to phone and ask if you can see the practice nurse who fitted it just so they can see it.
Mine hurt like hell every time I moved my arm for a couple of days but I had hardly any visible bruising. Were they rough fitting it?

I'm going back today for something unrelated so I can ask them to have a quick look. I don't think she was rough but I did have a local so couldn't really feel it.
