I recently had a issue when trying to come off the mini pill (cerelle) which ended up in a doctor telling me to go back on it. I have been on the pill (cerezette to start off then moved to cerelle) for about 8/9 years and wanting to come off to stop taking meds and start a family. I was a late starter and crazy irregular when I was younger.
I never really had a period while on the pill only the occasional spotting. I came off (cold turkey) at the start of September, got REALLY tender breasts and a increased sex drive but nothing else until the end of October where I had light for the 1st day at which it just got heavy after that. I was that heavy that I just sat on the loo most of the time and it got so bad that about 2 and a half days in from the start I passed out which a doctor got called out to me who put me on iron tablets, blood clotters and told to go back on the pill (I still had some in the house). I was ill for about 2/3 weeks, and now I'll all fine, my exams and christmas is all out of the way I am needing to go back to the Doctors, but how do I come off the pill if I just risk being put in hospital?!
