I really can’t get excited by my lunches

Started Weight Watchers before Christmas, have an incredible amount to lose so using the points system as a way to be more mindful of what I eat along with making sure it’s within my points.

Today is chicken lentil soup and some krispbread.

I really can’t get excited about it. It’s dull. I want something delicious and warm (I realise soup is warm!) and stodgy!

Please give me some healthy, warm, tasty lunch ideas please! I have access to a fridge and microwave.

Thank you!

No krispbreads unless you really like them.

How about some kind of barley based stew? Low calorie, super good for you and filling.

Or a curry? Something with butternut squash and chickpeas.

One of those snap pots of single serving brown rice and some home made Dahl?

Would you consider a foray into low carbing?

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 14/01/2019 12:17

I don’t mind krispbread occasionally but combined with my desire for stodgy goodness (pasta with sauce and cheese, jacket potato) I think I would consider a very slight, 1-3 days a week into low carbing!

Curry is a good idea! I eat anytime from 11.30-12.30 and then eat dinner around 8.30, by which time I’m starving! So would like to eat a bigger lunch then small dinner.

Appreciate the ideas!

Can you just do a nice chunky homemade soup instead?

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 14/01/2019 16:16

I did! I’m just over soup...well, soup without hunks of crusty buttered bread!

Hairy Dieters cookbooks are your friend.

Their spicy pork and rice is amazing and fills me up all afternoon.
